Empowering Young Heroes:
Inspiring Through Badges and Books

Our police departments are committed to creating opportunities to engage with the community and build a positive rapport with the next generation. Officers will be visiting elementary school classrooms and promoting literacy in the community by reading a wholesome picture book with a positive message. Children of Fallen Heroes will be donating books to individual elementary school libraries. Countless research studies show the presence of books in the homes of children supports vocabulary development and academic success. Any support you'd be willing to provide during this collaboration will go a long way to provide the police officers books to read and gift to the school's libraries and outreach programs.

Paperpie (formerly known as Usborne Books) will also be matching donations greater than $250 at 50%.

If you are interested in participating in the Badges and Books program for Children of Fallen Heroes, you can reach out to the organization to find out more about how you can get involved. This program provides children who have lost a parent in the military or first responder service with opportunities to learn and grow through activities such as earning badges and reading books. The goal of this program is to help children build self-confidence, foster a love of learning, and develop a sense of purpose. Whether you are an individual, a company, or a non-profit organization, there are many ways that you can support the children of fallen heroes and contribute to their well-being.
