Soaring with Hope: Children of Fallen Heroes Unite Families at Paraclete XP Indoor Skydiving

Updated: Jul 10, 2023

In a remarkable display of resilience and camaraderie, the Children of Fallen Heroes organization orchestrated an unforgettable event at Raeford, NC's Paraclete XP Indoor Skydiving. The occasion celebrated the surviving family of Air Force Col. Thomas Falzarano, a revered figure who commanded the prestigious 21st Space Wing. Joining them were Kenneth Severin Jr., an esteemed Golden Knight Alumni, and his son, adding to the atmosphere of inspiration and unity.

What made this gathering truly exceptional was the presence of Britt Harris, CFH Director of Children Programs and cherished Gold Star Family member, including Curt Taylor, a seasoned Flight Instructor. Together, they led an exhilarating STEM Indoor Skydiving Program that immersed the participants in an unforgettable adventure.

However, the excitement didn't end there. The U.S. Army Parachute Team Golden Knights, renowned for their awe-inspiring skills, also uplifted the spirits of the families with their enthusiastic cheers and unwavering support.

Every moment of the day was filled with joy and shared experiences, leaving a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to be part of it. Laughter echoed through the wind tunnels as families connected, celebrated, and found solace in one another's company.

Looking toward the future, the program aims to expand its footprint and continue its meaningful work within the community. With plans to establish a permanent base at XP Indoor Skydiving, this initiative seeks to nurture a passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education while providing thrilling experiences that bring families closer together.

Through these endeavors, Children of Fallen Heroes not only pays tribute to the fallen heroes but also helps forge new paths of healing and empowerment. By fostering a love for learning, adventure, and unity, they bring hope to the lives of those who have endured unimaginable loss.

As the echoes of laughter and cheers subside, the memories created during this extraordinary day will forever serve as a reminder of the strength that can be found in coming together. The sky, once again, becomes a symbol of infinite possibilities and a testament to the resilience of the human spirit.
