Emerging Technology Institute and Children of Fallen Heroes Join Forces to Support STEAM Programs

Updated: Apr 3, 2023

We are thrilled to announce that Emerging Technology Institute (ETI) and the Children of Fallen Heroes (CFH) have partnered to support STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) programs that inspire the next generation of leaders in emerging technology. Specifically, we're excited to share that ETI has created one of the largest small unmanned aerial system (SUAS) indoor flight facilities in the United States.

The ETI facility spans over 156,000 square feet of indoor space and includes over 1,221 acres of diverse training grounds. This unique facility provides an exceptional environment for teaching and training the skills necessary to excel in emerging drone and technologies. The facility offers a range of airspace and ranges, including four surveyed drop zones, an FAA-approved certificate of authorization (COA) for ETI's airspace, unrestricted night flying waiver, and Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) flight operations.

One of the most impressive features of the ETI facility is its capacity for SUAS indoor flight training. The facility's airspace is classified as Class G, which means it is open and unrestricted for flight operations. Additionally, the facility has a 75-yard flat range, a counter UAS/EW range, and an off-road course for vehicles like ATVs and HMMWVs.

Learning takes flight with ETI's drone class! These young minds are getting hands-on experience with the latest technology while enjoying the great outdoors.

Through our partnership with CFH, we hope to leverage this state-of-the-art facility to support STEAM programs that inspire and empower young people to pursue emerging technologies like drone and photography. Our collective goal is to provide resources and opportunities to those who have lost a loved one in service to our country, as well as others who are passionate about emerging technology and STEAM education.

By adding the "A" for arts to STEM, we recognize the importance of integrating creativity and design thinking into the learning process. At ETI and CFH, we believe that emerging technology holds the key to unlocking a better future. By providing access to cutting-edge facilities like our SUAS indoor flight training center, we hope to inspire the next generation of leaders in STEAM and create a more innovative and prosperous world.

We invite you to learn more about our partnership and the opportunities available for those interested in emerging technology and STEAM education. Together, we can make a difference and support the families of fallen heroes while advancing the field of emerging technology. At ETI and CFH, we are committed to inspiring and empowering the next generation of leaders in STEAM, and we invite you to join us on this exciting journey.
