9/11 Commemorative 5K Event

The City of Graham presents the first annual 9/11 Commemorative 5K Run/Walk Event on Saturday, September 11, 2021.
The 5K route will start at the Graham Police Department and loop around the block to include Maple Street, McAden Street, Main Street, and Pine Street and continue to the finish line. Medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, place age group winners. Unique to this run is the “First Responders Team Cup”.
The First Responders Team Cup invites first responders (Fire, Police, EMS, and Military) to register as a team. A minimum of three runners creating the First Responders Team is required. The top three First Responder Teams with the average fastest times will be award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
medals. Pre-registration or day of registration is available for first responder teams.
In addition to the 5K, the event will feature a Fun Run, food trucks, community organization booths, a Kid’s Zone, blood drive, and music provided by the band South of Southern. This is a community event and open to all to participate!
For participants looking to participate in the 5K, but wanting a shorter distance, we invite you to register for the Fun Run. This run will take place after the 5K and will loop twice around the route. Families are encouraged to explore the Kid’s Zone featuring the Park & Play Mobile Recreation program and activities offered by community organizations.
