Children of Fallen Heroes / Milwaukee Air and Water Show
Milwaukee Restaurant Industry and the Children of Fallen Heroes, Parachute Team will be honoring First Responders, Military, and their families including our dear friend Rudy Malnati, the Managing Director of the Chicago and Milwaukee Air & Water Shows. As an honorary Navy Blue Angel, Army Golden Knight, and Air Force Thunderbird, he was incredibly passionate about aviation and the air show industry. We are eternally grateful for all of the guidance and light Rudy brought to the Milwaukee Air & Water Show, which will be carried on in his honor this summer with the Navy Blue Angels at the Milwaukee Lakefront. May his legacy live on through our air show and others across the nation.
Rudys Story
Rudy Malnati Jr., 65, passed away on December 24, 2021, after a long, private battle with cancer. Rudy was born and raised in Chicago and was known to be a true “Chicagoan”. Rudy grew up working with his father, Rudy Sr., who was the creator of Chicago deep-dish pizza at Pizzeria Uno. He then went on to own his own restaurant, Pizano’s Pizza and Pasta. With his mother’s help making the pizza dough, Pizano’s grew into a Chicago favorite for many with multiple locations and shipping frozen pizzas nationwide. The restaurant business was such a passion for him, and he loved all the people that he was able to meet. He was thankful for all the amazing friendships he made over the years in the restaurant industry. All of them were considered “family” to him.

In supporting the “Children of Fallen Heroes Foundation” we have found that our vision, purpose, and every minute detail is critical in the healing process for our children. Surviving and thriving the loss of their “Hero” mother or father is our “no-fail mission” and we walk with them and their families until that mission is complete.
Visions
Children of Fallen Heroes Retreat and Education's vision is to expand our programs that are designed to create an escape from grief and expand the mind while having fun. Programs include Canine & Wildlife Rescue, Coastal Fishing, Equine Retreat, Golf Day Camp, Indoor Skydiving, Photography, Wedding and Special Occasions, and more.
