Honoring Rudy Malnati Milwaukee Air and Water Show Children of Fallen Heroes Parachute Tea

The Milwaukee Air and Water Show and the Children of Fallen Heroes Skydiving Angels paid tribute to First Responders, the Military, and their families, including the late Rudy Malnati Jr., the Managing Director of the Chicago and Milwaukee Air & Water Shows. As an honorary Navy Blue Angel, Army Golden Knight, and Air Force Thunderbird, Rudy was deeply passionate about aviation and the air show industry, and his memory will always be cherished. The Children of Fallen Heroes, Skydiving Angels performed a touching tribute in his honor, showcasing their incredible skills and bravery as they soared through the sky. Their performance served as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our brave servicemen and women and the importance of honoring their legacy. We are grateful to the Children of Fallen Heroes nonprofit for their incredible tribute and their ongoing commitment to honoring our heroes.

At last year's Milwaukee Air and Water Show, the Children of Fallen Heroes Skydiving Angels performed a special demonstration in honor of the men and women on the frontline, both past and present. The team paid tribute to the children and surviving spouses of fallen heroes by jumping in with the national flag during their demonstration, showcasing their incredible skills and bravery.

The ceremony, entitled "The Honoring Heroes" jump, was a moving tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country. The Children of Fallen Heroes Parachute Team was joined by local first responders and military men and women in uniform, creating a powerful display of unity and honor.

During the event, a special tribute was also paid to Milwaukee Fire Department Firefighter Lionel Hoffer, who lost his life on December 24, 1994, while battling a fire in a church. Hoffer fell through a hole in the second floor of the building while checking for fire extension, and despite the efforts of his crew and rescue teams, he succumbed to smoke inhalation.

The Milwaukee Air and Water Show was honored to pay tribute to Firefighter Hoffer and all those who have given their lives in service to their communities and country. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten, and we will continue to honor their memory in future events.

We were grateful to have Leap Vodka as our partner at the Milwaukee Air and Water Show last year, as they had been awarded Wisconsin Vodka of the Year for 2021 from the New York International Spirits Competition. With their support, we were able to make the event even more exciting and memorable than ever before.

At Bradford Beach, we paid tribute to LeRoy Butler, who had been inducted into the NFL Football Hall of Fame Class of 2022. LeRoy is not only an incredible athlete and a legend on the field, but he is also a true patriot who has dedicated his life to giving back to his community. Through his charity work, he has made a profound impact on the lives of countless people, inspiring us all to be better and to do more for those around us.

It was an honor to have LeRoy as part of our event, and we celebrated his incredible achievements and contributions with the rest of the Milwaukee community. The atmosphere was electric as we recognized one of the greatest players in football history and a true hero both on and off the field.
