Future Children of Fallen Heroes Retreat and Stem+art Center Flagship.jpeg

The 73,000 sqft Children of Fallen Heroes Retreat and STEM+arts Education Center, which is set to be developed on acquired
82 acres of pristine land near Fort Liberty in Moore County, NC is a beacon of hope and healing.  This remarkable project is designed to be a place of solace and growth, providing a safe haven for the families of our fallen military, first responders, foster kids, caregivers, and a variety of community outreach programs.  The plans have passed all three phases of our Planning Review Team for the Moore County Building and Planning Department.

With its expansive facilities and state-of-the-art amenities, the center aims to offer not only emotional support but also educational opportunities.  The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Education Center within the retreat will empower children and young adults with knowledge and skills for a bright future.  The development represents a profound commitment to honoring the sacrifice of our heroes and their loved ones, ensuring that their legacy endures through education, resilience, and community support.

- Children of Fallen Heroes is on the public land title.

Rejuvenating Streams, Wetlands, and Waterways in North America

Founded in 1986 by Joseph "Joe" Wright, Wright Contracting began with humble beginnings—a 4 x 6-foot sandbox and a small John Deere tractor.  Joe, a native of Cleveland County, NC, developed a deep connection to nature on his family's farm.  With a background in landscaping and leadership skills honed as an Eagle Scout, Joe earned a BS degree in Biological & Agricultural Engineering from NC State University in 2008.

Specializing in stream and wetland restoration/enhancement, stormwater management, and grading/site work, Wright Contracting has completed numerous projects across the Carolinas and as far as Texas.  Currently, Wright Contracting is involved in the Katy Prairie Mitigation Bank, a massive stream restoration project spanning over 110,000 linear feet of stream channel.  This project, located on Warren Ranch near Houston, serves as a model for future ecological mitigation efforts, ensuring sustainable development in the area.
